Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Paste It! — the macOS clipboard manager, website at paste-it.app, and related account services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account, purchasing a plan, downloading the app, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Paste It! is a local-first clipboard manager for macOS. The Mac app stores clipboard history on your device. Our servers provide account sign-in, subscription entitlement, and billing — not cloud storage of your clipboard contents.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. If you are under 18, you may use the Service only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.
The Service is designed for macOS. Other platforms are not currently supported.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate registration information
- Keeping your credentials secure
- All activity under your account
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the Service, or remain unpaid after the trial or subscription period ends.
4. Plans, trial, and access

All paid plans and an active trial unlock the same features. There is no feature tiering.

5. Payments and Merchant of Record
Paid plans are sold through Dodo Payments, which acts as Merchant of Record for your purchase. This means Dodo Payments is the seller of record for billing, tax, and payment processing on our behalf.
- Checkout, receipts, and payment-method updates are handled through Dodo Payments and our account billing portal.
- You agree to Dodo Payments' applicable terms and policies when completing a purchase.
- We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the interval you select (monthly or yearly) until you cancel. Lifetime is a one-time charge with no renewal.
You may cancel a subscription at any time through the billing portal. Cancellation stops future charges; access continues until the end of the current billing period unless otherwise stated in our Refund Policy.
6. License and acceptable use
Subject to these Terms and your active plan, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to download and use the Paste It! Mac application for personal or internal business use.
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except where permitted by law
- Redistribute, resell, sublicense, or publicly share the application
- Use the Service to violate any law or third-party rights
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
7. Local data and your responsibility
Clipboard history and related files remain on your Mac. You are responsible for:
- Securing your device
- Any sensitive information you copy into the clipboard
- Backups and retention of local data
We are not responsible for loss of local clipboard data caused by device failure, uninstallation, or settings you apply within the app.
8. Intellectual property
Paste It!, our website, branding, and software are owned by us or our licensors and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding.
9. Disclaimer
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE AND OUR AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $50.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or if required for legal or security reasons.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including payment obligations, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will survive.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes may also be communicated by email or in-app notice where appropriate.
Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
