Changelog

What's new in Paste It!

v0.2.3

Look & feel

  • Liquid Glass app icon — rebuilt with Icon Composer for macOS 26 system glass (acid-green P mark unchanged)
  • Menu-bar ⌘C / ⌘V keycaps — the status item shows C/V keys that press when you copy or paste

Timeline & editing

  • Space preview bubble — preview sits above the timeline; click the text to edit in place (no separate edit panel)
  • Hover actions on cards — quick Copy / Edit / Pin / Delete when you hover a clip
  • Smarter type filter — one chip control; filter stays on when you reopen the panel
  • Browse the full timeline — the old ~30-card cap is gone

Multi-select

  • ⌘-click · Return to paste — select several clips, then press Return to paste them in order

Getting started

  • Rebuilt tutorial — short animated walkthrough: copy → timeline paste → preview & edit → multi-select
  • What's New for upgraders — existing installs see the full tutorial once after this update (Settings → Show Tutorial… / What's New… anytime)

v0.2.2

Timeline boards & filters

  • Pinned + folders — Favorites is now a system Pinned board; create up to three custom folder tabs and file clips into them from the context menu
  • Smarter remove — on Default, Delete only clears the main timeline if a clip still lives in Pinned or a folder; on those tabs the action is Unpin / Remove from Folder instead
  • Type filters — quickly show only text, numbers, links, images, or files
  • Multi-select paste — ⌘-click several clips, then paste them one by one in the order you selected

Privacy & analytics

  • Optional anonymous analytics — helps improve the app (onboarding, panel use, updates); turned on by default, off anytime in Settings → Privacy
  • Clipboard contents are never sent

v0.2.1

Timeline ordering

  • Clipboard timeline now sorts by last used, matching Paste.app-style behavior
  • Copying or pasting a clip promotes it to the top of the list

v0.2.0

Agent-ready clipboard

  • MCP for local agents — optional, off by default; enable from the menu bar
  • First-launch onboarding — short tutorial plus seeded welcome clips so the timeline isn’t empty
  • License — PolyForm Noncommercial 1.0.0 (personal / noncommercial use free; commercial use needs a separate license)

Fixes

  • Onboarding footer no longer jumps between tutorial pages

v0.1.0

First open-source release

  • Local clipboard history for text, rich text, HTML, images, file URLs, and links
  • Spotlight-style panel with Shift + Command + V
  • OCR indexing for images and screenshots
  • Pinboards and Paste Stack
  • Privacy controls: pause capture, ignore apps, retention pruning
  • Free and open source — no account required
