2026-09-28

MCP reconnects and multiple clients — requests now use isolated client state, fixing initialization and response-routing conflicts when clients reconnect or reuse request IDs. MCP remains off by default and listens only on the Mac.
Improved OCR — accurate recognition with automatic language detection runs on a serial background queue. To apply it to an older image, open its preview and choose Re-run. Short or mixed-language text can still be misidentified; recognition depends on the macOS Vision models.

Background updates — automatic checks and downloads are enabled by default, with an installation prompt when an update is ready. Settings → About provides separate controls, and existing preferences are respected.
MIT license — the project is now available under MIT, including for commercial use.

Build 11, signed and notarized, for macOS 14.0 or later.

Settings sidebar — a persistent native sidebar replaces the previous settings layout.
Smaller installers — redundant app resources were removed and maximum DMG compression was restored.

Menu-bar ⌘C / ⌘V keycaps — the status item shows C/V keys that press when you copy or paste

Space preview bubble — preview sits above the timeline; click the text to edit in place (no separate edit panel)
Hover actions on cards — quick Copy / Edit / Pin / Delete when you hover a clip
Smarter type filter — one chip control; filter stays on when you reopen the panel
Browse the full timeline — the old ~30-card cap is gone

Pinned + folders — Favorites is now a system Pinned board; create up to three custom folder tabs and file clips into them from the context menu
Smarter remove — on Default, Delete only clears the main timeline if a clip still lives in Pinned or a folder; on those tabs the action is Unpin / Remove from Folder instead
Type filters — quickly show only text, numbers, links, images, or files
Multi-select paste — ⌘-click several clips, then paste them one by one in the order you selected

Optional anonymous analytics — helps improve the app (onboarding, panel use, updates); turned on by default, off anytime in Settings → Privacy
Clipboard contents are never sent

MCP for local agents — optional, off by default; enable from the menu bar
