Refund Policy

This Refund Policy explains how refunds, cancellations, and billing disputes work for Paste It! purchases made through our website.
Payments are processed by Dodo Payments as Merchant of Record. Refunds, when approved, are issued by Dodo Payments to your original payment method.
1. Digital product delivery
Paste It! is digital software for macOS. After a successful purchase:
- Your account entitlement is activated automatically
- You can download and use the Mac app from our Download page
- Subscription customers can manage billing through the account portal
There are no physical goods and no shipping.
2. Free trial
New users receive a 30-day full-access trial on first login from the Mac app (not at web signup). No payment is required during the trial.
If you do not want to be charged, cancel before your trial ends and before purchasing a paid plan.
3. Subscriptions (Pro Monthly / Pro Yearly)
Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time from the account billing portal. Cancellation stops future renewals. You retain access until the end of the current paid billing period.
Refunds for subscriptions
- Renewal charges are generally non-refundable. If you cancel, you keep access through the period you already paid for.
- First subscription charge: If you are unsatisfied, you may request a refund within 14 days of your first paid subscription charge, provided you have not extensively used the Service after payment. We review requests in good faith.
4. Lifetime purchase
Lifetime is a one-time payment for permanent access.
You may request a refund within 14 days of purchase if the product does not work as described on our website or you experience a technical issue we cannot resolve. Refund requests made solely due to change of mind after substantial use may be declined.
5. How to request a refund
Email support@paste-it.app with:
- The email address on your Paste It! account
- Date and plan purchased (e.g. Pro Yearly, Lifetime)
- Reason for the request
We aim to respond within 3 business days. Approved refunds are processed through Dodo Payments and typically appear on your statement within 3–5 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.
6. Non-refundable situations
We generally do not grant refunds when:
- The request is made more than 14 days after the charge (except where required by law)
- The subscription period has already ended and the charge was a standard renewal you did not cancel in time
- The request is based on misuse of the Service or violation of our Terms of Service
- You have already received a refund for the same purchase
Nothing in this policy limits your statutory rights as a consumer where applicable law provides otherwise.
7. Chargebacks
If you have a billing concern, please contact us before initiating a chargeback. We will work with you in good faith.
Chargebacks are handled under card-network rules. A chargeback decision by your bank is independent of this policy. Excessive or fraudulent chargebacks may result in account suspension.
8. Taxes and invoices
Dodo Payments, as Merchant of Record, handles applicable sales tax/VAT and provides payment receipts. For billing questions on a specific charge, include your receipt or transaction reference when contacting support.
9. Changes
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest version. Changes apply to purchases made after the update unless otherwise required by law.
