How to convert PNG to JPG

  1. Open your PNG image

Choose a PNG file, drop it into the workspace, or paste a copied image. Check whether the source has transparent areas before converting.

  2. Keep JPG selected and choose a quality

JPG is selected for this converter. Adjust Export quality to balance file size and detail. Transparent pixels are filled with white.

  3. Review the background and download

Check the preview, dimensions and file size, then download the JPG. Keep the source PNG if you need its transparency or original rendered detail.

JPG is useful for photos; PNG preserves transparency; WebP can keep files small.

Give a transparent PNG a white background

Open the original PNG and keep JPG selected. Transparent areas are filled with white automatically; check edges and text in the preview, then download the JPG. This fills transparency only: it does not remove or recolor an existing opaque background.

Supported formats & limits

Open one image at a time (up to 30 MB): JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, or AVIF where your browser supports it. Save as JPG, PNG or WebP, with outputs limited to 12,000 pixels per side and 40 megapixels in total. Animated GIFs export as a still image; HEIC is not supported. WebP export needs browser encoding support (otherwise PNG is used); blur requires Canvas filters.

Images are processed in your browser. Image contents and filenames are not sent to our servers or analytics. Refreshing or leaving the tools area clears your working image.

Frequently asked questions

Why does my transparent PNG get a white background?

JPG has no transparency. The converter fills transparent pixels with white when saving. Choose PNG or WebP output to preserve transparency instead.

Is JPG a good choice for every PNG?

JPG can be useful for photographs, but lossy compression may soften text, line art and sharp edges. PNG may be a better fit for screenshots and graphics. Check the preview and file size before choosing.

Do my images get uploaded?

No. Images are processed locally in your browser. The website uses the anonymous page analytics described in our privacy policy, but image contents and filenames are not collected.

Can I combine edits?

Yes. Select Apply changes to keep an edit before continuing with another tool, or choose Apply & switch when prompted. Undo and Redo move through applied edits, and Restore original returns to the source image. Download your result before refreshing or leaving the tools area.

Leave without downloading?
